Just in case you are wondering...

Hey ya'll Sportsgal89 In the Building..
So this came out of a comment a friend of mine put on my FB. Which made me want to clarify my name.. I am not trying to take from ESPN's "Sports Guy" Bill Simmons.. I am a girl who LOVES (likes is an understatement) Sports and my birthday happens to be August 9th.. And while I'm not sure where this blog will take me, I wanted that record to be stated before this thing catches on fire!!! LOVE IT!!!

A lot of people tend to ask me how I became a #SportsGeek.

I am the first to admit, I am a "Daddy's Girl" and my love of sports came from my father. I have been around sports my ENTIRE life- with my dad playing & coaching Soccer throughout my childhood, and my dad coaching football as well. I myself played soccer and softball as a kid and continue to play softball for fun now.

Additionally, my friends are usually athletes and the majority of them happen to be football players I met in college. So when it came to game day you can always expect me to be the first one out there.

I take being a fan to a whole other level. While I love my teams, I love the game more! My favorite hands down is Football. I know a lot, I speak a lot, I am a lot.

My Teams, so you can't say I didn't put it in writing:

NBA- Lakers

MLB- Oakland A's

NFL- Pittsburgh Steelers

College- Ohio State

While I sports a lot about these particular teams, I write a lot about sports in general. Hope you enjoy the beauty that is my mouth through writing
